Ascanius Medical Clinic is a community-oriented healthcare facility established to provide accessible, ethical, and quality medical services while creating meaningful employment and professional development opportunities for young and upcoming health professionals in Uganda.

The clinic was founded in response to identified gaps in both healthcare access and workforce absorption within a highly competitive health sector. The clinic officially commenced operations on 1st November 2025 and operates with a strong commitment to patient-centered care grounded in professionalism, compassion, accountability, and evidence-based medical practice.

Governance & Leadership

Ascanius Medical Clinic operates under a structured governance framework led by a Board of Directors responsible for strategic oversight, ethical leadership, policy guidance, and institutional accountability. All individuals listed below serve as Directors of the clinic, contributing to governance and long-term direction. Day-to-day clinical and operational management is delegated to designated clinic managers.

Patient safety and ethical medical practice are central to all operations at Ascanius Medical Clinic. Clinical decisions are guided by accurate diagnosis, appropriate laboratory testing, and evidence-based clinical guidelines. The clinic upholds principles of informed consent, confidentiality, infection prevention and control, and respectful patient engagement.

Our Specialists

The daily management and operational leadership of the clinic are carried out by Dr. Mukakalisa Violette and Uwamahoro Clarisse, who serve as Clinic Managers responsible for clinical governance, pharmaceutical services, staff supervision, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance.
